Celebrating the rise of interest in ballet in York, we took to the Minster for our first photoshoot

Miss Donya was invited by Chris Oakes a talented York photographer to take urban photographs in front of the iconic landscape of the famous York Minster in celebration of the new interest in ballet for the city. But with a difference.

Chris took the photos of Donya the principal of En Pointe, wearing a leotard, ballet skirt and pointe shoes doing ballet poses in the urban city instead. We really love the results and the iconic style of combining ballet out of context and away from the safety of the stage and studios.

We'd love to see our En Pointe ballet dancers and others doing the same and send them to our Facebook page.
