Discover the benefits of dance and find positivity in lock down
How are you coping at home in these unusual times? How is your child(ren) coping?
Do you know the benefits of dance and how it can help your children and yourself to stay positive in these difficult times?! Dance releases endorphins which naturally make you feel happier, more positive and relaxed. Dance is a great way to keep fit because it is a full body work out and is enjoyable as it is accompanied by music.
Dance builds muscle strength, it works the mind, it increases cardiovascular fitness and it develops motor skills and memory skills. In honesty, the benefits of dance are endless and are needed in your life now more than ever. Although it is not the same as being in the dance studio, seeing your teacher and friends in person, classes through zoom are live and the students still have interaction with the teacher and class friends. When you feel down or lonely, you should dance! Exercise will make you feel so much better about yourself.
Joining a zoom class is a way of shutting off from any worries or concerns you have about things, and enjoying the movement to music. A positive hobby that makes you feel happy whilst having fun, learning new skills and gaining strength and stamina. Dance really is the perfect gift! And there are so many forms of dance too, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary and many more... so if you feel that one style doesn’t suit you, there are many others you could try.
In these strange times, we don’t always feel like dancing, and it’s difficult to keep motivated...
but if you give it a go, stick at it, you’ll feel the benefits dance can bring. If you are interested in trying a dance class with En Pointe via our live zoom classes, you can book here: https://enpointeyork.class4kids.co.uk/term/38
