A very warm welcome 

I am extremely proud to be the Principal of En Pointe Dance School. Our thriving ballet school welcomes young infants, children and adults who wish to begin their journey through dance. If you are after a career in Classical Dance or want to have fun with others, you'll find a class here for you. We respect and value every individual. We have worked hard to gain our reputation as York's best dance school. 

Small classes where girls and boys benefit from specialist teaching. We not only offer over a comprehensive timetable of 80 classes, 7 days a week but En Pointe have a handful of fantastic, talented and professional dance teachers offering their unique skills. Meet the team

We strive for excellence in our students to push them to become the best they can be through the enjoyment of learning dance at En Pointe. In offering a vibrant range of opportunities including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro Gym, Technique, Contemporary, Lyrical, Pointe work and more including shows and workshops to the young children and adults who come to learn at En Pointe.

My story

After completing my professional career in ballet I knew I wanted to teach ballet. As our young dance school blooms I see the young potential talent that walks through the our dance studio doors, and it’s a pleasure to teach, with my team of teachers, all the babies, children and adults that step foot here. With the popularity of our school has come an award and we have been voted for through Little Vikings Magazine for Best Dance Classes in York and guess what, En Pointe won that award. We worked very hard in designing our classes to be fun and creative as well as inspiring and structured.

I have had a wealth of experience in ballet as I went through training in a vocational school called Elmhurst, then performed with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. I then learnt to be a teacher at the Royal Academy of Dance, gaining my Registered Teaching status.

I now have my very own dance business in this beautiful historic city of York. When I designed and opened En Pointe dance studios I wanted the very best for the students that came to En Pointe. We have a lovely wall of mirrors in both studios, custom made sprung floors and of course double ballet barres. I think what makes our school such a success, is the dedicated and hard working dance teachers, students and parents that support it.
